About Me

It's strange how no matter how old you are, you still feel 18 on the inside. They say (whoever "they" may be) that the person you are internally at 18 is who you will be your entire life. I believe it. I still have the same insecurities as well as dreams as I did way back then. I think we just learn to act on them differently as we get older.

The great loves of my life are my family, my church and my friends. All three contribute to my ability to lead a fulfilling life. God has been so faithful to me over the years, filling my life with wonderful people that accept me just the way I am, flaws and all.

I love life. How can you not when you are living under the blessings and covering of our Lord Jesus Christ? Life was designed to be full of joy. God never intended for us to live a life of drudgery. We have to live in the present. I love this poem:

I was regretting the past and fearing the future.
Suddenly my Lord was speaking:
“My name is I AM.”

He paused. I waited, He continued.

“When you live in the past with its mistakes and regrets, it is hard.
I am not there.
My name is not I WAS.

When you live in the future, with its problems and fears, it is hard.
I am not there.
My name is not I WILL BE.

When you live in this moment, it is not hard.
I am here.
My name is “I AM.”

I love music and have been so blessed to be a part of the Music Ministry at Brazoria First Assembly of God church. What an awesome privilege and responsibility to help to usher our congregation into the presence of God!
